Pareto Analysis Classification
This is used to classify items when using inventory
counting. For example, whether or not the item is high or low value, and
whether it is fast or slow moving, may mean some items should be counted more
often than others.
For example, items could be classified into three categories:
A, B and C. Those in A are counted four times a year; those in B are counted
three times a year; and those in C are counted once a year. This way, every
item is counted at least once a year, but some more than others.
Those counted more often might be those where stock
discrepancies are most likely to occur, or to have the greatest impact on
value.
Classification Nomenclature
Combined Nomenclature (CNC) Code used by the Customs
Co-operation Council to classify the item. Used worldwide, including the EU,
for the classification of items. Same as the Intrastat Classification
Nomenclature (ICN) number.
Country Code
The identifier for the country of origin for the item. May be
required to comply with Customs or tax reporting regulations.
