Setting the Time Axis
Setting the Horizon Start Date and Length
- Open the Time Axis dialog box by selecting Settings > Time axis.

To set the start date of the horizon:

Enter the start date in the
from field.
Time is a locked field and is always set to 00:00.

Perform one of these operations:
- Use the date bar to shift back one week, shift back one day, move to today, move forward one day, and move forward one week by clicking the appropriate section of the date bar.
- Click first batch.
- Click last batch

Enter the start date in the
from field.

To set the length of the horizon:

Enter the end date in the
to field.
Time is a locked field and is always set to 00:00.

Perform one of these operations:
- Use the date bar to shift back one week, shift back one day, move to today, move forward one day, and move forward one week by clicking the appropriate section of the date bar.
- Enter the number of days in the horizon in the days field.
- Alternatively, drag the triangle over the ruler.
Note: You cannot use the ruler if the length of the horizon is more than seventy days. -
Enter the end date in the
to field.
Setting the Work Area Start Date and Length
If you want to use the same settings for the work area as for the horizon, click horizon. When changing the work area, all open windows and dialog boxes are updated.

To set the start date of the work area:

Enter the start date in the
from field.
Time is a locked field and is always set to 00:00.

Perform one of these operations:
- Use the date bar to shift back one week, shift back one day, move to today, move forward one day, and move forward one week by clicking the appropriate section of the date bar.
- Click first batch. The start time of the first batch then becomes the start time of the horizon.
- Click last batch. The end time of the last batch then becomes the start time of the horizon.

Enter the start date in the
from field.

To set the length of the work area:

Enter an end date in the
to field.
Time is a locked field and is always set to 00:00.

Perform one of these operations:
- Use the date bar to shift back one week, shift back one day, move to today, move forward one day, and move forward one week by clicking the appropriate section of the date bar.
- Enter the number of days in the work area in the days field.
- Drag the triangle over the ruler.
Note: You cannot use the ruler if the length of the work area is more than 70 days. -
Enter an end date in the
to field.
- Click OK to save the time axis and close the entry window.
