Distributing Process Batches - Options Tab

In the planning board, select process batches.
Select Schedule > Distribute Process Batches.
The Distribute Process Batches dialog box is displayed.
Click the Options tab.
If you want splitting to take place when a batch coincides with any of these items, select the time period where resource is unavailable, downtime, and locked and unselected batches check boxes.
Clearing these check boxes can lead to batch overlap.
If you want that the batches be split at the maximum batch duration of the resource, select maximum duration.
If you want to allow process batches to be joined, perform these operations:
1. Select the with joining check box.
2. To join overlapping batches as adjacent batches, select adjacent only and choose one of these options:
  
  adjacent if within
  
  To join overlapping batches, select this option and specify the overlapping interval.
  
  adjacent if successive
  
  To join only successive batches, select this option.
3. To join linked batches only, select linked only.
4. To join only batches that use the same resource, select on same resource only.
5. To join batches together in a period, select use cycle and select a cycle.
  If you select this checkbox, the batches that belong to the same cycle period are joined.
6. To join batches on fields of any related order, select if field values are the same and select a field.
  
  The search method for the related order is the same as for any related order in the interfaces. If several orders are connected, the first order that is filled by the selected batch is considered only.
To view the change results in the planning board, click Apply.
Click OK. Alternatively, continue populating tabs on this window.
