Defining Global Preferences - Model Tab

To create a model:

  1. Select File > Global Preferences.
  2. Click the Model tab.
  3. Specify the model name.
    The model name allows you to uniquely identify your models. You can have multiple models in a database
  4. Click Export.
    The model is created in the database.
  5. Select the required version in the list and click Delete to delete a version of the data model.
    For example, you can delete a published version that you no longer use.
  6. Click OK to save your preferences and close the dialog box. Alternatively, continue populating tabs in this dialog box.

After you have configured the model, you must restart Infor Production Scheduling and select the model to open.

You can also archive and restore a Model from the list of available models.

To archive a Model:
  • Click , to archive a selected model from the list of models available.
    Note:  You can give a new name to the model to be archived.
To restore a Model:
  • Click , to restore a selected model from the list of archived models. A new archive is created of the current model with the name 'Auto Backup'.
    Note:  If other user is using the same model, a popup window appears to restart the application. If you click OK, the application is closed automatically discarding any unsaved changes.
