Creating Downtime

  1. 1. Open the Downtime overview window by selecting Batches > Downtime.
  2. Click New to create a new record.
    The Downtime Entry window is displayed.
  3.  In the entry window, enter any relevant remarks in the remarks field. If remarks are turned on in your view settings, the remarks are displayed in the planning board and provide a handy reference.
  4.  Choose the resource to which the downtime applies.
  5. Clear the locked check box if you want to be able to move the batch manually in time.
    Note:  Unlocked downtime batches are not affected by automatic scheduling functions.
  6. Choose a start time and duration for the batch.
    Note:  If you modify the start time, the end time is altered automatically and the duration remains the same. If you modify the duration, the start time remains the same and the end time is adjusted.
  7. Click OK to save the batch and close the entry dialog box.
