Creating a View - Batches Tab

  1. Select Factory > Views.
    The Views overview window opens.
  2. Click New.
    A dialog box is displayed.
  3. Enter a unique code for the new view.
  4. Click the OK button.
    The View entry window opens.
  5. Click the Batches tab.
  6. To edit the labels for process batches, click the Process Batch tab or select the tab corresponding to the type of batches to be edited.
    Note:  Each of the tabs has three sections: text above, text below and text information bar.
  7. If you want to show text above the batch, in the text above section, click the Select button to select which fields will be used as the source of text used to label the batches when they are shown on the planning board.
    The selection dialog box is displayed.
  8. Using the selection dialog box, select the fields to display and, if desired, characters to separate the chosen fields.
    Note:  You can use an open or closing parenthesis [(], a space [ ], a comma [,], and a minus sign [-].
  9. In the selection dialog box, arrange the fields and characters in the order in which you want them displayed by clicking and dragging them to the desired location in the selected items pane.
  10. After you selected the fields and characters to be displayed and the order to be displayed, click the OK button.
    The selection dialog box closes.
  11. If you want to show text above or below the batch, click the appropriate Select button and repeat steps 8-10.
  12. If you want to set the alignment and appearance of the text, click the appropriate button next to the Select button for either text above or text below.
    You can set the alignment to left align, columns, or right align. You can also click bold for the text to display in bold.
  13. Repeat steps 6-11 to edit text below the batch and in the information bar.
  14.  Click the tab corresponding to the next batch type to be edited and repeat steps 6-11.

  15. After editing all tabs desired and entering the settings, click OK to save the view and close the window. Alternatively, continue populating tabs on this window.
