Creating a Tank Batch - General Tab

You can open this overview window three ways:

  • To select tank batches, select Batches > Selection info. When a selection of batches is made in the planning board or in a batch overview window, and you open a batch overview window, you only see the selected batches in the overview.
  • Select Batches > Tank Batches to see all tank batches in the working area.
  • Select orders in the Order overview window, then press and hold the Shift key and select Batches > Tank > Batches. This displays batches providing inflow to the orders.
  1. Open the overview window by selecting Batches > Tank > Batches.
  2. Click New.
    A dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select a product, a resource or a resource group from the corresponding list box.
The Process Steps table displays the related process steps based on your selection. Only appropriate steps are shown. An asterisk (*) in the fourth column indicates that the tank group corresponding to the product is the default tank group for that product. If, for that product, the corresponding version is also the default version, an asterisk (*) appears in the first column. The first default step of a product is highlighted.
  4. Select a process step.
  5. Click OK.
The Tank Batch Entry window is displayed. The General tab is selected by default.
  6. Enter any remarks you may have. They are displayed alongside the batch in the planning board.
  7. If necessary, modify the resource group and resource selections. You can only modify the resource group if more than one resource group has been entered in the stage.
  8. If necessary, select a status.
Note:  Remember that selecting one status and then selecting another usually combines the two instead of replacing the first with the second. Select cleared if you want to start over.
  9. Where appropriate, enter the quantity of product present in the tank.
  10. If surplus is allowed in the process step of the product in the tank, you are able to enter a registered inflow quantity.
  11. Where appropriate, enter a surplus quantity.
  12. Start date, time, end date, time and duration may be modifiable, depending on the chosen method.
  13. Click OK to save your changes and close the window. Alternatively, continue populating tabs on this window.
