Work Area

The work area is the period within the planning horizon for which a detailed schedule has been made. This is user-defined. Automatic scheduling functions allocate, calculate changeover, and check schedule work only for batches in the work area, and the dynamic information displayed in inventory simulation, utilization and labor requirements reflects only the data inside its bounds. In process batch, tank batch and order overviews as well as create inflow, the selection is initially limited to the work area, but this selection range can be changed without changing the work area. In schedule process batches and distribute process batches, one of the options is to schedule process batches to the beginning or the end of the work area. The work area is visible on the planning board.
