Use Surplus from Later Scheduled Batches

When creating inflow, you can select the Use Surplus from Later Scheduled Batches check box. Selecting this check box indicates that it is allowed to use surplus from process or tank batches that become available later than required by the requesting process batch. This check box can only be selected for the following options when you are creating inflow: Use surplus in tank only and Use surplus.

The selected value for this check box is stored. The next time inflow is created for that particular stage, the default settings will be the same as the last time.

When this check box is not selected, create inflow is only allowed to connect process and tank batches that create feasible schedules. This means that the quantity available for requesting batches may never fall below zero during the entire inflow segment.
