Strict Sequence when Scheduling Process Batches
Strict sequence (do not fill gaps) is used if you want to fix the current sequence. If you select it, the selected sequence will not be interrupted, even if that sequence contains gaps that are large enough for other batches to fit in. If you do not select it, the sequence may be changed where that leads to better process utilization. If resources are in both choice and combination groups, gaps may occur in process utilization. Infor Production Scheduling will try to fill these gaps. If there are variable changeover times (changeover matrices or changeover rules) then these will be recalculated to take account of the new sequence.
