Standing Time

The standing time is an attribute of the process step for the following methods: batch process, batch inline, flow pushed and flow source. It represents the period that the product stays in the process after inflow has ended and before outflow begins. This period is necessary, for example, for processing or a chemical reaction. In contrast to the minimum standing time of tank batches, the process batch will flow out directly after the standing time, as long as there is no slack.

The minimum standing time can be given for process steps using the following methods: flow process, flow pushed, and batch process. It represents the period that the product should stay in the tank after the end of the inflow before outflow occurs. This period is necessary, for example, for processing, analysis or cooling off. In contrast to the standing time of process batches, this can be followed by a waiting time.
