Show in Menu

Some dialog boxes have a Show in Menu check box. If selected that item will show in the menu commands. You are then able to access that item from a menu command instead of having to navigate to a sub-menu. For example, if you select the Show in Menu check box when creating a macro, that macro will show in the Run Macro command of the Automation menu. If you did not select it to show in menu and wanted to run the macro, you would have to navigate to the Macro overview window, select the macro, and then click the Run button. Having it show in the menu eliminates several steps. This also applies to interfaces and interface groups, statuses and the solver.
