Inflow Factor
Inflow factor is the ratio between anticipated inflow product requirements and your main product. If you are making a batch consisting of 10 muffins requiring inflow of 2 kg of flour and 20 eggs, your inflow factors for flour and eggs would be 0.2 kg/piece and 2 piece/piece. (Remember that product units are defined when creating a product group). What do we mean by anticipated? If you know that on average you drop five of the eggs on the floor, you would increase the second inflow factor to 2.5. Inflow factor is setup on the process step.
