decoupled
Decoupled is the word used to describe stages, products, process steps, batches and product flows that are not connected by product flow or time links. Material deliveries are typically decoupled.
Another example of a decoupled product may be white stock that was packaged and stored in the warehouse until needed. Later, the white stock is removed from inventory and packaged based on demand, thus consuming the white stock decoupled product. This allows you to see when white stock is produced, how much is on hand and when it will be consumed.
