Allocation when Scheduling Process Batches

When scheduling process batches, you have the option to keep the allocation as it is or to allocate it to another resource. Select Keep Allocation if you want to keep batches on their current resource. If you want to be able to specify the resource allocation of selected or newly created batches, select Allocate To. If you select Allocate To, you can specify whether to keep the same resource group. If you select Keep Resource Group, the batches will only be placed on the specified resource if the resource is in the current resource group (for selected batches) or the default resource group (for newly created batches). If you do not select Keep Resource Group, the batches will be placed on the specified resource if the resource is in one of the resource groups defined in the process step. If the specified resource is not in the allowed resource groups, the batch allocation will not be changed (for existing batches) or will be a resource in the default group (for new batches).

Note:  When selecting the Allocate To check box, the system will try to reschedule the batch on a choice resource group which has the given resource, unless the Keep Resource Group check box is selected. If the resource does not exist in a resource group, then the current allocation is kept.
