About Surplus

You can allow surplus for batches in order to bring them up to any minimum batch quantity you may have defined. Surplus can be allowed by default in the Process step entry dialog box. Surplus can also be allowed by changing batch status. Surplus batches can be created in different ways:

• With the New button when creating a process batch or when creating a tank batch.
• Delete the outflow of a batch.
• Delete the inflow of a batch while the inflow batch can have surplus.
• Create a batch with create inflow while the process step has a minimum batch size and the required quantity is less then the minimum quantity.
• Change the status of a batch.
