About Signaling Icons on Batches

There are three kinds of batches on the planning board: process, tank and downtime. You can select what you want to be signaled when creating a view. Symbols used in batch segments are as follows:

Symbol Segment Meaning
Inflow (Inventory) level is below minimum.
Inflow Duration or maximum inflow rate of batch has been exceeded.
batch outlined in red Inflow Batch is before its earliest time.
Inflow Batch is on its earliest time.
Inflow Batch is after its earliest time.
Inflow Inflow shortage.
Inflow (Inventory) level in batch has risen above maximum.
Inflow of tank batch Negative slack.
Outflow Batch is on its latest time.
Outflow (Inventory) level of batch is below zero.
Outflow If a tank or process batch may not have surplus, the bottom outline of the outflow segment is shown as a dotted line.
segment outlined in red Outflow Batch is later than its latest time.
Outflow Outflow surplus.
Outflow Batch has locked surplus (greater than zero).
Outflow Batch is before its latest time.
Outflow of tank batch Negative slack.

The top outline of a process batch is always shown as a solid line, indicating that it may have an inflow shortage. The top outline of a tank batch is always shown as a dotted line, indicating that it may not have an inflow shortage.

Locked segments are marked with a small black square at one of the corners. The position of the square depends upon which part of the segment is locked:

  • If the start of the inflow segment of a batch is locked, a black square is shown at the top left corner of the inflow segment.
  • If the stop of the inflow segment of a batch is locked, a black square is shown at the top right corner of the inflow segment.
  • If the start of the outflow segment of a batch is locked, a black square is shown at the bottom left corner of the outflow segment.
  • If the stop of the outflow segment of a batch is locked, a black square is shown at the bottom right corner of the outflow segment.
