Viewing item pricing history

You can view the pricing information for an item over a period of time at a location level. Using filters, you can view pricing information for specific dates, for all products within a brand or product hierarchy, and at different locations.

  1. Select Price Lookup.
  2. Search for the item using the Search Criteria fields. You can click Columns to configure your table view.
  3. Select the Item ID in the returned list. The Advanced Price Lookup page is displayed.
  4. Use the Starting/Ending Date to specify a date range. The table is populated with prices for the item over the time range specified.
Note: You can click a price to display additional information, such as the price change type that it is and the original price change that created the price you clicked.
  5. Optionally, select Show All Dates in Range to display the item pricing information for each day in the specified range.
Note: If Show All Dates in Range is not selected, the dates that are displayed include today's date and only dates in the range where a change in price occurred.
  6. You can change the Location Level to display the pricing information for the item at subsequent location levels.
Note: Prices display at the store level only if the item is authorized to be sold at that location.
  7. You can click a price from the table to display the Price Change Details window. When viewing price history, prices can display three different ways:
    Prices in bold
If a price displays in bold, the item’s price changed on that day for at least one location with the current Location Level selected.
    Prices in italics
If a price displays in italics, the retail price varies across the locations within the current Location Level selected.
    Prices in bold and italics
If a price change displays in both italics and bold, the price changed that day for the Location Level selected, but not for all locations under that level. A price at a store level never displays in italics because a store is the lowest level.
  8. You can select the Item Information tab to view information specific to the item, such as its Brand and Hierarchy Association.
