Price conflicts

Price Management identifies these conditions where a conflict can occur and a price change cannot be approved:
  • If a regular price change or TPR is being approved with the same item, date, and location level as an existing, approved record. Only one regular price change or TPR is allowed at the same item/location level/date.
  • If you attempt to approve a TPR price change that has a retail price equal to or higher than the regular retail price. TPR price changes must have a price that is lower than the regular retail price.
  • If a store level price change is being approved for an item that is not authorized for that store.
  • If a TPR price change is being approved for an item that does not have an initial price. Only regular price changes can be approved for an item's initial price.
  • If you attempt to approve a regular price change during a promotion with a TPR price change already in affect.
  • If you attempt to approve a price change for an item that is invalid or is not priceable.

When a price conflict exists, an error message displays on the Price Change List page and an Error icon displays in the Alerts column for the price change. Click Show Details in the error message to see the details about the price change(s) in conflict.

You can resolve a price conflict by clicking on the Error icon inline, and then changing the details of the price changes on the Conflict Resolution page.
Note: If a price change has a price conflict, the price change cannot be approved until it is resolved.
