Importing a project

Note:

To import a project, you require the permission Administer Repository:

When you import a project in a different repository, the schema version of the import file may be older than the internal schema version of the target repository:

Displaying database information

To import a project from a file:

Right-click the Projects folder in the tree and select Import Project.... A dialog opens in which you select the project file.
Navigate to the import folder and select the import file. To show the existing import files, select the file type All Project Data (*.od) from the drop-down list. Default import file name: <Name of the Project>.od.
Click Open.
Specify the project name under which the project data are imported. Default project name: Project name of the selected import file. Click Next.

Caution: If the project name or the project data already exist in the target repository, a warning is displayed. If the project data already exists, all object IDs of the imported project will be changed. References to Application Studio reports will be broken and become unusable.
To start the import process, click OK.
