Event Agent Settings

The Event Agent Settings component presents settings for the Event Agent. The table in the right-hand part of the Administration Console displays in the left column the options and in the right one drop-down lists or entry fields for the settings. In the lower part of the table you find brief descriptions of the options (which are displayed when clicking them).

Option	Description
General
Simultaneous start of Event Agent and OLAP Server	Select Yes to enable the simultaneous start of the OLAP Server and the Event Agent.
Event-filter cube	Displays the active event filter cube.
Enable messaging	Select Yes to enable the messaging function. Messages are issued by utilizing the function SendNetMessage() from Event Agent API.
Send message by Windows Messenger upon error	Select Yes to issue screen messages with run-time and user-defined errors by utilizing the API function ErrorExecute().
Log settings
Enable logging	Select Yes to enable the logging of messages in the EAPR.TXT.
Log level	The detail level of messages in the EAPR.TXT file.
Maximum number of log entries	Maximum number of lines stored in the EAPR.TXT.
Active events
Cell change	Select Yes to enable processing of OnCellEvents by the Event Agent.
Attribute change	Select Yes to enable processing of OnAttributeEvents by the Event Agent.
Dimension change	Select Yes to enable processing of OnDimensionEvents by the Event Agent.
Generic event	Select Yes to enable processing of OnGenericEvents by the Event Agent.
Log error	Select Yes to enable processing of OnProtocollErrorEvents by the Event Agent.
