General
The component allows you to specify general settings. The table in the right-hand part of the Administration Console displays in the left column the options and in the right one drop-down lists or entry fields for the settings. In the lower part of the table you find brief descriptions of the options (which are displayed when clicking them).

| Language Infor BI OLAP Administration | Select the language of Infor BI OLAP Administration (32 Bit Version). |
| Root directory of the program files | The root directory of the program files. |
| Database root directory | The root directory of the databases. (see Changing the database root directory for information on changing the location of the database root directory) |
| Backup root directory | The root directory for all database backups. |
| System mode | Specifies if the OLAP Communication Manager works in cluster mode.
Possible values: Standalone, Cluster |
| Central database root directory | Location of the OLAP Server central database root. |
If you change the settings by modifying the ALEA.INI or DB.INI files, or by using a separate window within the MMC, the resulting changes are visible only if you first click another component and then click the changed component again.
The modified settings will only take effect after restarting the Administration Console.
