The Reallocator dialog

With the Reallocator you can change the values of base and consolidated elements without changing the value of their parent. The difference between the old and new values is allocated between the sibling children of the parent element.

To allocate a value:

  1. In a data cell, enter a reallocation command and new value.
The Reallocator dialog is displayed. It shows the old and new values and the difference between them. The difference between them is the amount to be allocated.
  2. Choose the type of allocation.
There are two types of allocation:
    • Absolute reallocation. The difference is allocated equally to the data cells of the siblings.
    • Relative reallocation. The difference is allocated with respect to the values in the data cells of the siblings.
  3. On the Reallocation to Siblings tab, select the dimension which should receive the new value. This must be either the column or the row dimension.
  4. Select the parent of the elements to which the value should be allocated. The siblings of the element on which you are entering the new value are displayed.
  5. Select the siblings amongst which to allocate the value.
  6. Click OK.
The amount is allocated to the siblings of the element on which you enter a new value.
