What is the Data Area for?
|
The Data Area specifies which slice of data
is filtered. In this example, we filtered the data displayed in the report.
But
you might want to display data for one year, only where the data in a previous
year met a criterion: for example, to display only the budgeted sales figures
for 2004 where the actual sales in 2003 were greater than N. By changing the
entries in the Selection column of the Data Area, you can specify the slice
of
data to which the filter applies.
|
All three years have disappeared from the
report
|
There is no data for the Forecast valtype in
any slice of the data. If you have selected Forecast from the Valtype combo
box, no years are displayed. Select another valtype from the list (for example,
Variance) and the All Years element is displayed. Expand it to show the
individual years.

There are still zero values in the report for
Van Tires
|
We have suppressed zero values only in the
Period dimension. If required, you can create a filter for the Product
dimension to suppress these zero values.
