Enabling user IDs to work with Transfer Desk

Before you can use Transfer Desk, your user ID must be added to one of the four SunSystems Connect groups in Security Console or User Manager. The appropriate group for you depends on how you will be using Transfer Desk, as follows:

  • Users: this group allows you to run profiles, but not to create or modify them, nor to amend the runtime parameters
  • Power Users: allows you to run profiles and amend the runtime parameters.
  • Designers: allows access to all functionality within SunSystems Connect Transfer Desk. If you are planning to set up transfer profiles, automations, data formats or transformations, your user ID must be added to the Designers group.
  • Administrators: as for Designers, but includes access to Server Folder Management in SunSystems Windows client, so you can manage folders and files in a dedicated Transfer Desk file repository.

The Users, Power Users, Designers and Administrators groups are available in the Security Console or User Manager > Groups tab > SunSystems Connect node.
