Using Ledger Interface Reversal in Purchase Types
This enables you to assign a ledger interface setup to carry out a reversal, with specific information such as source date or period, to a stage in the Purchase Type. If this is set up the reversal is carried out automatically on confirming the stage.
- From the Action menu within Purchase Stages Setup, select Ledger I/F Rev.

Specify this information:
- Purchase Definition Code, Short Heading and Stage
- These fields are automatically populated from the current record, and cannot be amended.
- Ledger Interface Type
- Specifies whether the type of ledger interface is a Normal Posting or a reversal.
- Ledger Interface Defn Code

The required Ledger Interface Setup as defined in Ledger Interface (LIS).
- Date Source From

The date to be used for the posting.
- Period Source From
- The period to be used for the posting.
- Posting Date Adjustment
- This allows you to adjust the default posting date set up in the Date Source field by entering a positive or negative figure. For example, if this is set to +10, the posting date is calculated as ten days ahead of the source date.
- Posting Period Calculation Unit
- This allows you to adjust the default posting period set up in the Period Source From field by entering a positive or negative figure. For example, if this is set to +2, the posting period is calculated as two periods ahead of the source period.
- Posting Date Calculation Unit

Unit of time used with the figure entered in the Posting Date Adjustment field. Options are:
- Days
- Months
- Years
- Not Applicable
