Miscellaneous Permissions - Transaction Analysis
-
Specify this information:
- Apply Restrictions - Transactions
- Use these options to determine whether members of
this user group require permissions to enter, or report/inquire on,
ledger transactions with ledger analysis dimensions 1 to 10. You can
apply particular restrictions to individual analysis codes by
assigning Data Access Groups
(DAG) to them in Analysis
Codes (ANC), or to an entire dimension in Analysis Dimensions Setup (AND). See
also Setting Up Analysis Codes and Setting Up Analysis Dimensions in
the SunSystems Administrator
Help.
The options available are as follows:
- Ledger Entry / Import: The Ledger Entry / Import options determine whether this user group must comply with, or ignore, the assigned data access groups when entering analysis codes on ledger transactions using Ledger Entry (LEN), Ledger Import (LIM), Account Allocations (ACA), and Payment Run (PYR).
- Reporting and Inquiry: The Reporting and Inquiry options determine whether this user group must comply with, or ignore, the data access groups when extracting or listing transactions, for example when using Ledger Inquiry (LAQ).
-
You can apply Ledger Entry / Import restrictions to an analysis
dimension without necessarily doing so for Reporting and Inquiry, and vice
versa. In other words, using the options in this tab (in conjunction with the
data access group (DAG) specified on an analysis code or dimension) you control
whether an user group can:
- enter that analysis on a ledger transaction
- view transactions already posted with that analysis
- both enter and view transactions with that analysis
- or neither.
Note: Setting the Apply Restrictions options is only effective if one or more of the Ldgr Analysis Data Security check boxes are checked on the Business Unit Setup (BUS). - Save your changes.
