Managing the Disconnected Mobile Service
Use the Mobile Management form as a starting point when working in the Infor Disconnected Mobile Service. The critical number gauge shows the number of users assigned to the ISMMobileService license module.
Use these hyperlinks on the form to perform setup tasks:
- Users: Opens the Users form, where you associate mobile users with the applicable mobile permission group (such as Mobile Disconnected) that grants them offline access to the appropriate forms.
- Mobile Profiles: Opens the Mobile Profiles form, where you can set up profiles for mobile users that control which forms and application data is available to the user while they are offline.
- Conflict Overrides: Opens the Mobile Conflict Overrides form, where you can specify overrides to use when mobile conflicts occur for a user-defined list of tables and columns. Generally, these are fields that are calculated by the system and should not be overridden by uploaded data.
Use these hyperlinks to view diagnostic information:
- Message Log: Opens the Mobile Message Log form, where you can view the synchronization requests and responses between the mobile device and the back office. This form is helpful when determining what data is being made available to the mobile users.
- Devices: Opens the Mobile Devices form, where you can view information about the mobile devices in the field and their recently activity.
Click to generate the schema scripts for the App, Forms, and Objects databases on the remote machine. These scripts are used by the mobile clients to create a mobile database. Use the Background Task History form to confirm that this process completed successfully or to view any issues that might have occurred.
Rerun this process after any changes are made to the back office databases if you want to include the changes for disconnected mobile users.
