Downloading the OLAP data

We recommend that, before you customize an application or reports, you download your current data and deploy it in OLAP Administration.

Note: Do not modify the database after you have downloaded it. Your changes will not be uploaded to BI Services when you upload your customized application or reports.
  1. Select Dashboards > Global Settings > Applications.
  2. In the Manage Applications widget, select the application to download.
  3. Select Download > OLAP Database.
  4. When you are prompted, click Download Exported OLAP Database.
    The data is downloaded as an .app_olap file.
  5. Click Close.
  6. Deploy the data in OLAP Administration.
