Restrictions on report customization
There are restrictions on the permissions and features that you can use in customized reports.
Permissions
You cannot currently use Application Manager to assign report permissions. Instead, assign role permissions. Follow these rules:
- Assign permissions only to roles.
- Use only permissions that were used in the original application.
- Do not assign permissions to the system roles.
The system roles are: MasterRole, AdministratorRole, ViewRole.
Features
Do not use these features in reports:
- Custom web extensions
- Relational lists and formulas
- HTML function
- Scripting
- Client lists
- Report book exports
- MEMBERCNAME
- Point of Views
- Non-immediate writeback
Infor BI Dashboards does not provide a button to save or confirm changed values. You may need to implement a writeback button in any reports used for data entry.

For writing back to OLAP, ensure that reports use only currently supported syntax. See the Application Studio online help.
