Automatic tenant mapping

When you register the Infor Federation Services authentication provider for a repository registration, you must specify the user name and password to connect to the IFS. The specified user binds the repository registration to a tenant, because the user comes from a specific tenant.

When the IFS authentication provider is registered, the tenant of the user is known. The tenant mapping in the Repository Registration Service can be set automatically when you create a repository at Service level. Therefore, a manual tenant mapping in the Repository Registration Service management is not required for each repository registration.

The tenant mapping can be changed manually in the administration of the repository registration if required.

Note: The tenant mapping must be done properly. If the user who is specified in the IFS provider configuration comes from a tenant that is different from the tenant that is specified in the mapping of the Repository Registration Service, then the authentication process will fail for any user.
