Administering the Repository registrations of the configuration sources

When you select a configuration source node, a list of the available repository registrations within this configuration source node is displayed in the dialog Repository Registrations. In this dialog you can edit the attributes of the repository or add, edit, and remove repository registrations:

  • To add a repository registration, click the Add Repository registration button on the toolbar. The dialog New Registration opens where you define the connection parameters. This is the same action that is performed when you right-click the Repository Registrations root node and select the New Registration ... command. The difference here is that the configuration source type, User, Computer, Enterprise, or Service is fixed by the selected configuration source node.
  • To remove a repository registration, select the repository registration from the list of repositories and click the Remove Repository registration button on the toolbar. The repository registration is removed, but not the repository database. This is the same action that is performed when you right-click a registration in the Repository Registrations root node and select the Delete Registration command.
  • To edit a repository registration, select the repository registration and click the Edit Repository registration on the toolbar. The dialog Registration Properties opens where you change the details of the repository registration. This is the same action that is performed when you right-click a registration in the Repository Registrations root node and select the Properties command.
  • To assign a tenant to the repository registration, click the field in the Tenant column and specify the tenant.
  • To assign Infor BI applications to the repository registration that can view the current repository registration, click the Browse button of the Applications column. The dialog Applications opens where you select the applications. By default, all applications are selected.
  • In the Authentications column you can view the list of available authentication systems of the current repository registration. This information is automatically synchronized with the authentication systems of the repository registration itself.
  • You can define a default repository. Defining a default repository allows direct login for Application Studio WebServices. The default repository for the defined tenant and the defined project and report catalog will be used by default for all users after log on. Once defined a user from a tenant will be directly logged on to the default repository when he accesses Application Studio WebServices. One repository per tenant can be defined as the default repository. However, there can be other tenant repositories that will be accessible by Direct Link. To define a default repository, a default project and a default report catalog, click the Browse button in the Default Repository column of the repository registration. The dialog Default Repository Settings opens. Select the Allow access to a selected Repository and selected projects and report catalogs check box. Click the Connect button to connect to the default repository. The dialog Connect to Repository opens, where you specify the authentication, the user, and the password. Click OK. Select the default project and the default report catalog from the drop-down lists and click OK. When you unselect the Allow access to a selected Repository and selected projects and report catalogs check box in the dialog, the default status of the repository is removed.
