Repository application component export for a BI Services environment

This section describes the Repository application component export for an Infor BI Services environment.

A Repository project can be exported as Repository application component package. The Repository application component package is used together with application component packages from Application Studio, Dashboards, and OLAP to build application packages that can be imported in an Infor BI Services environment.

A Repository application component is represented by one project that consists of one of each repository models, one Dashboard Catalog, one Application Studio report catalog, and one OLAP Permission Management. Because a Repository application component might come without OLAP and Application Studio content, the OLAP Permission Management and Application Studio report catalog are optional in the Repository application component export. A Repository application component must contain exactly one Dashboard Catalog. For each repository model, the Application Roles with their permission assignments are exported.

Note: In an Infor BI Services environment of release 10.5.0 it is not possible to use the same application twice with different names in the same tenant. If the same application is required twice, for example, in a test environment, either a new tenant is required or a new farm must be created.
