Copying repository data

Note: 
  • When you copy data, the data in the target repository are deleted.

  • To export, import, or copy repository data, you require the permission Administer Repository and the User Management permission Administer User Management:

  • When you copy data and structures to a different repository, the schema version of the source repository may be older than the internal schema version of the target repository:

    Displaying database information

To copy repository data:

  1. Right-click the registration of the repository in the tree and select All Tasks > Copy Repository Data.
  2. In the Specify Target dialog, select the registration of the target repository.
    Note: The list that is shown only contains the registrations with an active connection.
  3. Click Next.
  4. In the Options dialog, specify this information:
    Preserve user-specific settings
    Select this option to keep the user-specific settings in the target repository, for example, the user variables of Infor BI Application Studio and Infor BI Office Plus, which are different for every user.
    Replace user-specific settings
    If you select this option, user-specific settings of the target repository are replaced.
  5. Click Next and then Finish to start the copy process.
  6. Click OK to complete the copy process.
