Importing repository data

Note: 
  • To export, import, or copy repository data, you require the permission Administer Repository and the User Management permission Administer User Management:

  • When you import data and structures from a different repository, the schema version of the import file may be older than the internal schema version of the target repository:

    Displaying database information

To import repository data:

  1. Right-click the registration of the repository in the tree and select All tasks > Import Repository Data.
  2. In the Choose Import File dialog, click the Browse button, navigate to the import file and click Open.
  3. Click Next.
  4. In the Import Behavior dialog, specify this information:
    Merge New Objects
    When you select this option, new imported objects are added to the existing objects of the target repository.
    Replace the target with the imported objects
    Caution: When you import data and select this option, the data in the target repository are replaced by the imported objects.
    Replace Authentication System
    When you select this check box in addition to the option Replace the target with the imported objects, the imported authentication information replaces the authentication system of the target repository.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Import Options dialog, specify this information:
    Preserve user-specific settings
    Select this option to keep the user-specific settings, for example, the user variables of Infor BI Application Studio and Infor BI Office Plus, which are different for every user.
    Replace user-specific settings
    If you select this option, user-specific settings of the target repository are replaced.
  7. Click Next and then Finish to start the data import.
  8. Click OK to complete the data import.
