Reversing changes

New cubes, and structural changes to cubes are saved immediately to disk. But changes to the data in cubes are only permanently saved when you save the entire database, or when you save the cube in the Cubes and Data Areas dialog. So, you can experiment with changing data without making the changes permanent.

  1. To undo a change:
  2. Click Cubes in the Database group on the ribbon.
  3. Select the cube which contains the changed data.
  4. Click Clear from Memory.
  5. Click No, when asked whether you want to save the cube.

    The cube is unloaded from memory, and all the changes that were made since the cube was last saved are removed.
