Example

In this example, four specialist store partners are grouped in a consolidated element Specialist Stores. The base element, Own distribution, is not consolidated.

  1. Click Dimensions in the Database group on the ribbon.
  2. Click Import Dimension.
  3. Specify the name of the dimension and a description.
  4. Click Search and select the source file from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Infor\BI\OLAP\Transfer\
  5. Select the delimitation method used in the source file.
  6. Close the Dimensions and Subsets dialog.
OLAP Server imports the data an immediately creates the dimension. When the import is complete, a message tells you whether it was successful or there were errors. If there are errors, view the error log in the location specified on the General tab of the Options dialog.

    See Options.
