Starting Office Plus

To use Office Plus you must log on to a repository and connect to a database alias.

Logging on to a repository and connecting to a database alias can be an automatic or a manual process, specified by these options:

  • Auto-login to repository: Determines whether logging on to a repository is automatic.

    See Options.

  • Save password: Determines whether the Log On dialog is displayed when you log on to a repository manually.

  • Connect at log-on: Determines whether a database alias is automatically connected on when you log on to a repository.

    See Creating a database alias.

To start Office Plus and log on to a repository and database alias:

  1. Select Start > All Programs > Infor Business Intelligence > Office Plus for Microsoft Office Excel. Enable macros if prompted.
  2. Click Log On in the Office Plus group on the ribbon.
    If a Log Off button is displayed, then Auto-login to repository has been selected in the Options dialog. Go to Step 3.

    If you click Log On and the Log On dialog is not displayed, then the Save password option has been selected Go to .Step 3.

    If the Log On dialog is displayed, log on manually.

  3. Click the database alias to which to connect and click Log On in the tool bar of the Database Structure pane. Or, double-click the database alias.
    Database aliases for which Connect at log-on has been selected are automatically connected.

    The cubes of the database are displayed.
