Specifying View Mode options

For each report mode you can specify what components are displayed, row headers, grid etc.

See Design Mode, Debug Mode, and View Mode.

You can also specify whether cells containing comments are highlighted, whether cells containing zero values are left blank and whether formulas are shown.

To specify View Mode options:

  1. Select Extras > Settings .
  2. Select a report mode.
  3. Select the required options.

For View Mode, you can also specify whether the report is protected (uneditable). By default, reports are protected (uneditable).

You can define an invalid list definition in the List Designer and use it in a hyperblock (for example, you structure the list with an invalid variable value). In View Mode, the invalid list is not displayed but other, valid, lists are. To prevent this, select Show list calculation errors. If an invalid list is used, an error message is displayed when you open View Mode. No data is displayed. Click Details on the error message to see the reasons for the error.

Debug Mode displays a preview of report data. You can determine the size of the preview by specifying the number of list elements to show. Some data filters may take time to calculate. If required, you can ignore them in Debug Mode by selecting Ignore use of data filters in lists.
