Migrating to Scheduled Tasks

Since version 10.3.0, Scheduled tasks and Report Books have replaced the Report Export Manager (REM). When you are migrating from REM to scheduled tasks, you should make as few changes as possible to the repository:

  • Do not change the folder structure between creating the REM files under 10.1.x and importing under 10.3.0. or higher. Use the original repository, and not a copy.
  • Do not copy the project.
  • Do not use drag and drop in Application Studio
  • Make no changes to unique names.
  1. Install the current version of Application Studio.
  2. Update the repository.
  3. Launch Application Studio.
  4. Optionally, update the reports.
  5. Right-click My Scheduled Tasks in the Report Catalog and select Export/Import > Import Report Export Manager package.
  6. Select the package to import and click Open.
