Formatting list objects
This topic describes the options of the formatting dialogs of list objects other than hyperblocks.
For the properties of hyperblocks see Editing hyperblock properties.
To open the Object Properties dialog, right-click a list object and select .
General tab
This table shows the options on the General tab of list objects other than hyperblocks.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Name | Displays the default name of the object. To change the name, overwrite the default name. |
List | Select the list to link to the object. If
you select a client list, the
See Client list designer. |
button is enabled. Click it to open the Client List Designer.
Disconnect pick list | Click this button to disconnect from a pick
list and to retain the original list definition.
SeePick lists. |
Copy to local | This button is enabled if the list object
is linked to a global list.
Click to convert the list to a local list.. |
Text format of the list | Select how element names are displayed. For example, Caption or Unique Name and Caption. |
Perform action when selection changes | Select this check box and click the
adjacent button to open the
Edit Action dialog.

Variables | Use input and output variables to pass
values from one list object to another. Select the
Or, drag a variable from the Accessories pane and drop it on the list object. When prompted, click to use the variable as the input and output variable. |
