Exporting processes

To export Application Engine processes, you must be connected to a repository database.

To export Application Engine processes:

  1. Select Repository > Log on or click Log On on the toolbar. The Login dialog opens.
  2. To connect to a repository database, select the authentication system from the drop-down list.
  3. Specify the user name and password.
  4. Optionally, select Save password to log on automatically with the same credentials next time you log on the selected repository.
  5. Select the repository and click Connect.
    The repository contains the Application Engine processes.
  6. Select the project and click OK.
  7. Select Repository > Export or click Export on the toolbar. The Select Process dialog opens. The dialog shows a list of processes that are stored in the repository database.
  8. To filter the available processes by category, select a category from the drop-down list or select * to display all available processes.
  9. To search for a special process in a category or in all available processes, specify its name in the Process Name field.
  10. Select the Show only latest process version check box, to show the latest process versions. If you clear the check box, all process versions are shown.
  11. To select all processes, click Select All. To select only special processes, select the check boxes of the processes to export. To cancel the selection, click Deselect All.
  12. To start the export of the selected processes as a package, click OK.
  13. In the Save As dialog, navigate to the storage location, specify the file name of the package and click Save.
    The process package file is stored with file type *.app_processes. You can import and use the exported process package in other repository databases. In Application Studio, you can use these processes to define actions that are performed on cells, buttons, list views, and reports. All processes that have been published are available in Application Studio.
