Transformation Designer - importing functions

Transformation Designer allows you to import pre-written JavaScript functions, from a supplied library, that can be used in your transformation. These pre-written functions include functionality such as converting dates, calculating percentages and capitalizing strings. Once imported into your transformation record, they can be amended as required.

To import existing functions:

  1. From the TML Details section, click the Define Functions button. The Define Function dialog is displayed.
  2. Click the Import button. The Import Functions dialog is displayed.
  3. Select an available function. A description of what the function does is displayed as you click each function.
  4. Click OK to close the Import Functions dialog.
  5. Details of the functions are now displayed in the Define Function dialog.
    Uwaga: Drag the Define Function dialog larger, so that you can see the function code more clearly.
  6. Click OK to close the Define Function dialog.
  7. The function is now ready to be selected for future use.
