Certain SunSystems services operate on behalf of specific users without having access to their sign in credentials. These are know as trusted services. For example, SunSystems Reporting might run a scheduled report using the permissions associated with the user that created it.
SunSystems can be implemented to use a separate Windows group for trusted services. This can enhance the security of your system by separating the trusted services permissions from database access permissions. In order to use a separate group for trusted services, the group must be set up in Windows, and configured with appropriate permissions and Windows user accounts for each service.
For details of how to configure this group, see the SunSystems Installation Guide.
If you do not have a separate Windows group configured specifically for this purpose, do not modify this option. In this case, the system uses, by default, the same Windows group you select for SunSystems Services to obtain the required permissions.
If you have configured your system with a specific Windows group for the trusted services, select the relevant Windows group name in the Trusted Service Group field.
