Setting up an EDM configuration

To set up an Enterprise Data Management configuration:

1. Configure a publisher business unit. Data to be synchronized will be kept in the language of the publisher business unit.
2. Set up business rules to activate data publication from the publisher business unit.
3. Configure one or more subscriber business units. A subscriber business unit can be in the same, or, more typically, a separate SunSystems installation to the publisher business unit.
4. If required, assign an SSC transformation. Subscriber business units may apply SSC transformations to the data, prior to processing it.
5. Use the integration settings to define the interval for data publication from publisher business units, or for subscriber business units to poll for incoming data.
6. Activate the process, by creating, updating or deleting key static data in the publisher business unit.
7. View the activity logs to assess if your Enterprise Data Management setup is running successfully.
