Associating a source data item with a runtime parameter

You can specify data items whose values are to be used to complete the filter's runtime parameters when the filter is drilled to. These are optional and you can add up to twenty for each drill. The available runtime parameters are displayed in the Run Time Parameters dialog.

To add these to the drill specification:

  1. Ensure the relevant drill is open.
  2. Highlight the data item in the Data Item List for the parameter
  3. Drag-and-drop the data item onto the Runtime Parameters grid in the Drill Edit dialog. It is associated with the runtime filter parameter which is highlighted.
  4. When you have finished adding parameters to your drill, from the File menu select Save to save your drill.
