Event profiles function condition
The first condition in an event profile always identifies the SunSystems function to which the business rules apply. Business rules can apply to data input functions; for example Ledger Entry, Ledger Import, or Purchase Order Entry. They can also apply to static data functions; for example Chart of Account Setup.
For example:
IF Function Code = Sales Order Entry
IF Function Code = Ledger Entry
An event profile can only be linked to one function. If the same business rules apply to another function, you can use the
option to copy the profile and its rules. The function that is chosen for the event profile also determines the data items that the business rule can access. The business rules can refer to any data items entered on the type of transaction that is processed by the function. The rules can also refer to the related static data items that can be referenced from the information held on this type of transaction.
For example:
IF Function Code = Sales Order Entry
The business rules can refer to any of the data items entered on a sales order transaction, and any static data items that can be referenced from the sales order transaction details.
IF Function Code = Ledger Entry
The business can refer to any of the data items entered on a ledger transaction, and any of the static data items that can be referenced from the ledger transaction details.
- The business rules that apply to the function are defined for the event profile in one or more rule sets.
- The business rules apply to these system functions when they are used manually and when they are initiated by Transfer Desk.
