Window layout - overview
The Form Designer window is split into four main areas:
- The area at the top left of the default Form Designer window is the Data Item Hierarchy.
- The area at the bottom left of the default window is the Data Item List. Once you have created a new form the relevant data items for that function are displayed. Mandatory data items are indicated by the red bullet.
- The center of the default Form Designer window is the Form window, and is used to create and amend your forms. It displays the form and the data items placed on it.
- The area on the right hand side of the default window is the Properties bar and displays the properties for the form and the controls placed on the form.
Uwaga: The Form Designer window layout can be customized.
Also displayed are the toolbars, which allow you to access the functionality associated with the
, , and toolbars. The status bar at the bottom of the window displays the current operator ID and keyboard settings such as Caps and Num lock.Once a form is open, the Data Item Hierarchy, Data Item List and Properties bar are populated with information about the current function and form and the status bar indicates the current language.
Uwaga: Most dialogs within Form Designer are resizable. Drag an
edge of the dialog to make it wider or smaller.
