Editing lookup settings

To edit lookup tables from within Transformation Designer:

  1. From Transfer Desk, select a profile that has a transformation you have defined.
  2. Click the Edit button below the profile details. The Profile Designer dialog is displayed for the selected profile.
  3. From the relevant Profile Designer, click Edit next to the Transformation field. The Transformation Designer is displayed.
  4. In the TML Details section, the source and target fields referenced by the profile for the transfer of data are listed along with the operation to be performed during the transfer.

    To edit the lookup settings, click the value in the Operation column for a particular source. Select Lookup from the drop-down list.

  5. In the Source column of the selected record, click the browse button. The Lookup Settings dialog is displayed, showing the settings and source element details.
  6. Select the required settings for the lookup from the following fields:
    Table
    select the table containing the data to be looked up.
    Column
    select the column of the table that contains the required data.
    Business Unit
    select either of the automatic settings: Use value from source or Use value from target.
    When value not in table
    select Use the source value or Fail the transformation.
  7. In the Source Element section of the Lookup Settings dialog, select a component within the payload elements.
  8. Click OK to save the changes. The Lookup Settings dialog is closed, and the Transformation Designer dialog is redisplayed.
  9. Repeat steps 5 to 8 for each source element in the TML Details for which you want to apply a lookup.
  10. Click OK to save the changes. The Transformation Designer dialog is closed.
