Setting Up a Custom Integration - Prerequisites

SunSystems is delivered with a predefined set of integrations to other Infor products, that you can set up using Integration Configuration (INC). Each of these integrations has a definition associating the integration system to a particular set of Business Object Documents (BODs). You can also integrate SunSystems with other systems via Infor ION, for example, with third party software, by setting up a customized integration definition to associate the other system with the BOD usage that is required to integrate with it.

Use Integration Systems Setup (INS) to define the BOD usage that is required to integrate SunSystems with the other system. Subsequently, use Integration Configuration (INC) to set up the integration.

The following prerequisites are necessary in order to run Integration Systems Setup (INS):

  • Your SunSystems user must belong to a user group that has permissions to use the Integration System Setup (INS) function. See Security Console or User Manager help.
  • The Integration System Setup (INS) function must be added to the user group's SunSystems menu. See User Group Menu Designer help.

The following prerequisites are necessary in order to set up a customized integration with another system:

  • Infor ION must be installed and running. Refer to the ION Installation Guide in the product documentation section of Infor Xtreme Support.
  • The other integrated system or systems must be set up and appropriately configured on ION.
